Three Things Properties Should Be Thankful For

Posted: 11/25/2009 8:35:20 AM by Vinu Joseph | with 0 comments

What would Thanksgiving be without dry turkey, family arguments and lame lists of things to be thankful for? Arbor Day, that’s what.

Far be it from me to deprive you of a proper Thanksgiving. So without further ado, three things every property should be thankful for:

  1. Selfless Staff and Volunteers. Sponsorship success is rarely the result of just one person’s efforts. If you have people who are committed to putting the organization ahead of their own agendas, keep them close and tap into their expertise and positive attitudes to secure buy-in across departments, fulfill benefits and identify new opportunities.
  2. Engaged Sponsors. Often these are the result of your own strategic selling and servicing efforts. And sometimes you get sponsors who are eager to be part of something special and want your property to be successful. However you got them, do whatever you can to keep them and use them as examples for other sponsors—current and prospective.
  3. Your Audience. Without them, you probably wouldn’t have sponsors. So show them your gratitude by respecting their experience with your property and finding ways to help sponsors enhance that experience.

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends here in the U.S. And to everyone else, happy Thursday.
