See how we helped the French Quarter Festival “laissez le bon temps rouler”
New Orleans’ French Quarter Festival is an extremely popular Crescent City event that has been especially embraced by residents as a celebration of their hometown. The festival producers turned to IEG at a critical juncture when the event needed to boost sponsorship revenue in order to maintain its status as a free event accessible to all.
IEG’s Valuation Service provided the festival with detailed analyses of its sponsorship packages, including title sponsorship of several stages and areas. Our reports clearly spelled out the tangible benefits delivered—including stage signage, identification in the Festival's media buy, sampling and display opportunities, and VIP hospitality—as well as the intangible benefits offered—including category exclusivity, association with a loyal audience and the sponsor’s ability to activate.
The immediate result of the festival’s IEG Valuation was the securing of two new major sponsors. In both cases, having documentation of the value of the proposed sponsorship packages made the difference for the sponsors’ representatives, who were looking for back-up in making the case for sponsorship to their corporate headquarters.
In addition to securing the incremental revenue the festival needed to maintain its community role and identity, the property’s top executives also noted that the process of working with IEG on the Valuation helped them become more aware of what was important to sponsors. They were then able to put that knowledge to use as a guide to creating return-on-investment reports to be shared with sponsors and help ensure renewals.
