ASAE & The Center is a membership organization and a premier provider of knowledge for the association community, serving more than 22,000 members and 11,000 associations that represent nearly 300 million people worldwide. When ASAE & The Center hired IEG, the organization was engaged in event-only sponsorship offerings that didn’t maximize all revenue potential.
IEG recommended shifting ASAE & The Center’s packaging strategy to year-round partnerships and bundled event sponsorships managed through a single department dedicated to sponsorship sales and servicing.
Within 24 months, ASAE & The Center shifted from more than 100 mostly low-level deals to 21 partners paying from $50,000 to $350,000 each and totaling more than $3 million in annual revenue. The fewer, bigger strategic approach reduced the number of sponsors by 85%, increased revenue by 200% and surpassed a three-year revenue goal within 24 months.
