Laren Ukman, CEO
Laren joined IEG in 1995 and in 2006 assumed the chief executive role, responsible for all aspects of IEG’s business, including advisory services, valuation, research and business development.
In addition to her extensive involvement in client projects, she also continues to lead IEG’s expert witness practice, testifying in court cases involving issues related to sponsorship contracts and the valuation of sponsorship and other non-traditional media.
Laren is a frequent speaker on sponsorship worldwide and has shared her insights with audiences in Germany, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, England and Canada. She also has taught a graduate course on the subject at the University of Lugano in Switzerland and is on the faculty of Northwestern University’s Master of Arts in Sports Administration program.
Prior to joining IEG, Laren was the executive vice president of Continental Distributing Co., the largest wine and spirits wholesaler in Illinois. She is a past president of Meals on Wheels Chicago.
Laren earned her MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and her JD from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law.
