Dear theme parks and sponsors who want to reach families with children:
Moms (and Dads) have a message for you. Whether it’s a season pass to a nearby Six Flags or a pilgrimage to a Disney land or world, parents are online talking about how to take the family to an amusement park without asking for a loan from the kids’ piggy banks. And while they chat, they are laying out a wealth of information about the types of promotions and amenities that would succeed for sponsors and parks alike.
A few examples, of many:
A blog called themeparkmom.com has a “Save Money” section that highlights interesting and current promotions.
Momlogic.com republished an article (originated by Walletpop) about five ways that “theme parks take you for a ride”. Namely: (1) lockers, (2) front-of-the-line passes, (3) meal plans, (4) video souvenirs, and (5) parking. Great promotional and/or sponsorship ideas, all.
A recent post on the Mom Blog Network has ideas (ostensibly for Moms) that could be extrapolated into promotional ideas by companies in categories such as packaged goods, personal care, imaging, hotel, non-alcoholic beverages, apparel, and more.
When trends like frugal travel and Mom Bloggers converge, there is a wealth of information and inspiration out there for the taking.
