IEG Leadership

Dan Kowitz, Vice President, IEG Advisory Services

Dan draws from his experience as both a sponsorship seller and buyer to advise clients on both sides of the fence. He advises properties on what to sell, what to charge, how to position the pitch, who to target and how to negotiate strategically. He also counsels sponsors on what to sponsor, what to pay, how to leverage and what to measure.

Prior to joining IEG, Dan was director of sponsorship for the American Bar Association, where he was responsible for growing non-dues revenue by more than $3 million. He previously held a similar position with the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

Dan also served as director of sponsorship development with Target Corp.’s Mervyn’s California and spent five years as manager of corporate sponsorship for telecommunications company Ameritech, where he worked with properties such as the NFL, NHL, MLB, WTA and Senior PGA Tour.

Kowitz received his B.A. degree from Central Michigan University.
