Job Role and Responsibilities

This position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to work with a diverse client mix of global, national and local sports, arts, entertainment and cause rightsholders and Fortune 500 sponsors. The Valuation Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Valuation process from initial information gathering through final delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Specifying, gathering and analyzing the information that will be used to determine the fair market value of various sponsorship opportunities
  • Shaping the scope and direction of, and conducting secondary research on the sponsorship opportunity to be valued. Research sources include LexisNexis, internet and internal databases
  • Determining how to interpret the information gathered, assessing the adequacy and appropriateness of the information provided, and determining its potential impact on the valuation
  • Consulting with clients to thoroughly understand the property and objectives
  • Performing client follow-up calls after final Valuations are delivered

Required Skills and Experience

The qualified candidate will have a track record of success in the corporate sponsorship area or media valuation and general knowledge of marketing (a minimum of three years in the industry); record of achievement and career progression; project delivery and project management skills and experience; strong research skills; a proven ability to analyze problems, use judgment effectively and be self directed; and natural intellectual curiosity. Locally-based (Chicago) candidates will be given preference.
