The Project Director is responsible for developing and delivering client solutions. The primary focus of the role is day-to-day project management and coordination of resources, building and interacting with clients, and creating high quality deliverables.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

This position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to work with a diverse client mix of global, national and local arts, association, cause, entertainment, event and sports rightsholders and Fortune 500 sponsors. The Project Director will be responsible for day-to-day project management, interacting with clients and creating high-quality deliverables for clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the creation of customized and cutting-edge strategies and tools for sponsor and rightsholder (“property”) clients. For sponsors, this may include sponsorship selection, valuation, activation, management and measurement strategies. For properties, this may include sponsorship packages, sales tools, pricing guidelines and management recommendations
  • Maintaining day-to-day contact with clients
  • Conducting staff and sponsor interviews, and analyzing findings
  • Analyzing competitive research and clients’ assets for strategic findings and recommendations
  • Coordinating, planning and managing internal and external projects from data gathering to creating final deliverables
  • Directing support teams on consulting projects, including researchers and valuation analysts
  • Co-presenting consulting projects, trainings and industry speeches
  • Remaining current on sponsorship and marketing trends and best practices that impact both clients and the industry at large
  • Creates client deliverables and checks for high quality and consistency

Required Skills and Experience

  • The ability to analyze and strategize on both a large scale and the smallest detail and, very importantly, the ability to translate found strategy into work product (i.e. language) that is transparent, comprehensive and turn-key
  • An affinity for both individualized work projects and team dynamics
  • Strong client management and project management skills and experience
  • Strong presentation skills and some public speaking experience
  • The flexibility to work in an environment that is at once casual and highly professional, demanding and highly complementary of good work, and fast-paced yet highly detailed
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Cool under pressure
  • Able to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project management experience
  • Some public speaking experience
  • 3-5 years sponsorship experience
